As for the walls and any surface inside your aviary , it’s best to go with something smooth and slick. While rough and grooved surfaces might look nice on your aviary, it’s conducive to particles and droppings being wedged inside. It’s going to take a lot of scrubbing to get your aviary clean. The best solution would be to paint them with a glossy finish latex paint. This takes care of your problem with the look of your aviary and making your aviary easy to maintain.The ideal perches to get for your aviary for finches are Manzanita perches. These come in a myriad of thickness and shapes which will give your birds variety on where to rest. These kinds of perches are also easy to clean. For your finch’s nail health, you can also use natural perches but make sure they’re located higher up so they don’t get soiled. Don’t forget to put the food and water dispensers in accessible spots to make it easier for you to clean. Also, keep these away from perches. With a well designed aviary, you have a great home for your finches and you’ve got something that’s also easy to maintain.
